Whitehouse Press Release

Friday 15th May- Shiva at Whitehouse
This May's Shiva at The Whitehouse will be a very special occasion indeed. Shiva prides itself on delivering only the very best in house music and, this month, we make way for the London debut of one of house music's finest, funkiest and forthcoming producers, E-Squire. With releases on Hed Kandi, Toolroom and Ministry of Sound - his music has been sending Shiva's dancefloor crazy over the last couple of years. It's time for the main man to take centre stage. Let the good times roll.....
If feel-good, funky, uplifting house is up your street then we’ve assembled a stellar line-up to cater for your hands-in-the-air needs. Prefer it more techy, electro-ey and bleepy? Then the upstairs room has got the cream of London’s tech-tastic and proggy talent!
The key to Shiva’s success and popularity is down to one factor. It’s all about the music. There’s no pretentiousness, no attitude, no ‘it’s all about me’. Quite the opposite, really. It’s all about YOU. The clubbers, the lovers of the music, the people who want to have a night filled with liberated dancing – that’s why we keep giving it to you and you keep coming back for more!
But, anyway, back to the line-ups! In the main room downstairs, expect to see the familiar faces of Liam D, Fevor, Muzz Khan, Anis and Danny Flex doing their own inimitable thing whilst paving the way for our headlining guest DJ and, also, our tips for up-and-coming Shiva stars of the future. So, the headliner....
E-SQUIRE!
E-Squire is one of the most prolific young producers in the UK. Rapidly spreading his name to clubbers and industry heads alike, his sound of uplifting, piano, funky fuelled house is now becoming the sound of dancefloors across the globe. With a successful string of releases and remixes on labels such as All Around The World, Hed Kandi, Data, 3 Beat Blue, Ministry Of Sound, Toolroom and Boss Records – it’s easy to see why his career is irrepressible. The demand for his work is rising as fast as his profile. Artists craving for his remix work read like a who’s who of house music’s finest alumni: Robbie Rivera, Utah Saints, Warren Clarke, Dave Spoon, Sucker DJs and Ultra Nate to name but a few.
‘Soul Heaven’, ‘Nobody’s Business’, ‘Good Times’, ‘Everytime I See The Girl’ and ‘Salvation’ are just a few of his productions that have torn Shiva’s dancefloors to pieces in recent times; with forthcoming releases ‘Can’t Help Myself’ and a remix of the classic ‘Follow Me’ – destined to be a massive hit on these shores and those of the White Isle this Summer!
ANDY GATES & ATA x 2
With a fantastic chemistry, a passion to play only the most high-octane house music and bundles of energy, it’s easy to see why Andy Gates and Ata x 2 are two of London’s hottest talents. Having both run successful nights at venues across London including Club Warehouse – they’ve also shone and sent dancefloors crazy whilst playing at the gargantuan venues, Ministry of Sound, The Egg and Pacha respectively. Their irresistible blend of funk-driven house and stompin’ electro combines brilliantly and sets them apart as party starters of a different league. We’re sure you’ll love them as much as we do.
Meanwhile upstairs, the consistency continues with heavyweights Rob Alldritt, David Penn and Lofty dishing out the tech house and electro cuisine whilst lining the club with rose petals for the arrival of Sugarshaker and Natalie Parker. Who are these fine ladies that we speak of? Well....SUGARSHAKER!
Sugarshaker is, without question, one of the scene’s most talented and unique talents. As a DJ, she’s warmed up for the authority of dance music, Pete Tong, holds down a residency in France and co-promotes successful clubnight, Housework - as well as spinning at the likes of The Egg and our very own, Whitehouse, in London with her blistering selections of electro and tech house. As a producer, things looked even more impressive when she teamed with up Lee Hallett – the founding member of LnM Projekt, who whipped up a storm a few years back with their release of ‘Everywhere’ on Hed Kandi Records. Together they released ‘On My Way’, which was then picked up by the Hoxton Whores, remixed by them and released on their label, Whorehouse. With other interest coming in from Azuli and Toolroom, it’s fair to say her standing in the scene will be cemented in the next couple of years....And....NATALIE PARKER
Natalie Parker, aka Mommy Rocks, does not waste time. In just over a year, she has gone from lifelong house music fan to DJ, producer and label owner. Whether through her weekly radio show or her slots at clubs such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha and SE1; she rocks the crowd with her own brand of tech and progressive house - plus a hint of techno thrown in for good measure. Not content with playing other people’s tracks, this year she has also made the move into production and now has a string of releases lined up. But what good are tunes without a label to put them on? So a label had to come next, thus Project House Recordings was born. Along with label partner and co-producer, Alex Blanco, the label already has a release schedule of dancefloor bombs being played by the likes of Jon Carter, Seb Fontaine, Mark Knight and Oliver Lang - so she’s set to make the same kind of waves as her explosive DJ career.
And there you have it. Lots of familiar faces, some new ones too and plenty of house music to get down to!
Shiva at The Whitehouse. It just gets better.....
